Where to Stay
As many of you are traveling from overseas, please ensure you book accommodation well in advance as it is the high tourist season and there are other weddings taking place on the weekend of July 19th.
If you are traveling as a family or larger group, may we suggest renting a self-catering home, villa or gîte (cottage) for your group. If you have mutual friends attending the wedding, consider sharing accommodation to ease costs and enjoy the weekend in the company of good people - wine tastes better when shared!
Please do let us know when and where you have booked so we can know where our loved ones will be, and assist with logistics if necessary.

The venue is located on Lisa's family property, just outside the village of Gensac, Nouvelle-Aquitaine.

Room Blocks
Below are a few options for charming bed & breakfasts, at which we have temporarily secured rooms for our guests to book. We prefer that these are considered by parties of two or individuals as opposed to larger groups, but if you have any questions please let us know and we will be happy to help.
Château Carbonneau
Lovely Bed & Breakfast Chateau with vineyard, wine tastings and tea room. Located just 3mins from Gensac and about 7 mins from the venue.
We have secured Fri 18th and Sat 19th for our guests, should you wish to book. They require a 2 night minimum during the high season, longer stays are possible of course, but subject to availability.
They have 5 rooms, 4 are on the first floor and 1 is on the ground floor. Here are the room rates :
- Telephone room (ground floor) : 140€/night, breakfast included.
- Jonquil room : 140€/night, breakfast included.
- Iris room : 150€/night, breakfast incl.
- Pivoine room : 150€/night, breakfast incl.
- Parc room : 170€/night, breakfast incl.

Chateau la Girarde
Beautiful country-style guesthouse located just 13mins from the venue.
We have 2 rooms (Acacia and Rose) being held between July 18th - 21st, and they have very kindly offered our guests a discounted rate at €135 per room per night, including breakfast. They require a 3 night minimum stay during their high season.

Old Presbytery Guest House
The Old Presbytery, a lovingly restored 18th century stone Presbytère with stunning views over orchards and vineyards towards the Dordogne River and the bastide town of Sainte-Foy-la-Grande.
We have five spacious Guest Rooms reserved under our wedding party, each with a super king size bed that easily converts into two single beds on request. A complimentary breakfast is served each morning in the dining room.

For those wanting a little more space there is a 50sq metre self-contained one bedroom Apartment reserved under our wedding party as well.

It has a spacious bedroom with air-conditioning, a super king size bed and a brand new ensuite bathroom with walk-in shower. There is a separate living room with a sofa bed, dining table and chairs and a fully equipped kitchen. Breakfast is not included however it is available for a daily supplement of €12 p/p.
